| Has anyone seen it yet? It's open to watch on a movie-viewing website somewhere ^^ It's going straight-to-DVD next month.
The story in this final sequel is interesting. The curse from The Grudge 2 has moved from Japan to the apartment complex in Chicago. Violence and some gore has been added, and new characters, including Kayako Saeki's sister, who comes from Japan to stop the curse.
Anyone seen this/like the series? |

| Spoiler: | | | Yeah Naoko was wicked scary! Scarier than the new Kayako, which I thought didn't look scary at all in this movie : \ |
And also, it did drag on for a bit, but I was so excited it didn't matter to me lol It was The Grudge! |

| Just seen it last night and I was terribly disappointed... what a terrible cast and acting...poor storyline... the only things that keep you awake are the sound loud sound effects now and then... I wish they cut those out and replace it with a really scary story of Kayako... _________________ |

Maybe thats why The Grudge 3 was released straight onto DVD, because the movie is terrible. XD
I've not seen it and not going to. It looks crap anyway. |

| Me and my friend saw the second one in theatre's because we really liked the first one. Oh god it was horrible. We kept laughing because some of the scene's seemed like they were over the top ridiculous and the deaths were hilarious. We were the only ones laughing though. It wasn't scary at all. I was pretty disappointed.
I'm afraid to see what the 3rd one would be like. Probably really bad if its straight to video. _________________ My Siren Fansite: |

| Yeah, I watched a good portion of The Grudge 3. But truth be told, I didn't finish it. I just couldn't.
It was poorly written, the acting was really bad, the scares were cheap and way too predictable. And seriously, talk about making a by-the-book sequel. It hit every single archetype and overused sequel gimmick known to man. It didn't even try to be original.
This movie, to me, was a painfully obvious cash-in on a successful franchise and I am just glad that Shimizu wasn't personally involved with it.
Granted, that's a bit of an extreme opinion, but that's how I feel about it. People say The Grudge 2 was a total train wreck of a film, and I don't know why. I think people give it flack just because it's a remake. But, really, as far as remakes go, that was a good one. But, yeah, I was intensely disappointed with The Grudge 3.

| Aaaw. I was wanting to see the Grudge 3 but after seeing what all you guys think of it, I'm not going to anymore.
It's probably for the best anyway, as my philosophy with trilogies is that the first one is always the best one.
The only trilogy that contradicts my philosophy is the Godfather (the second one was the best one). _________________ "I'm sorry, but I don't like being around people." |
