| Well, it had to start somewhere For every element of the missions, someone had to find it out for themselves before it could be put in a walkthrough Besides, I used to know some people on a Silent Hill UK forum (which seems to be down now) who had managed to beat both the first and second game WITHOUT any help. Which is downright sick, but there you have it _________________ You're a materialist, like all ignorant people. But your materialism doesn't make materialism true.

Well NO SHIT its a fact. Thats why there are sites called gamefaqs for walkthroughs.
By the way: I was trying to tell you in my first response that we were all in the same boat but obviously you wanted to be an asshat and make yourself sound more informed than everyone else about common knowledge. Kinda doesn't work when its common knowledge.
Just so you know I don't want to suck your cock. So keep it off the internet._________________ My Siren Fansite: |

| HATED!!!!: I f*cking HATED the first Reiko mission, it's ridiculously hard, especially lugging around Harumi when Eiji was around.
I f*cking HATED Naoko's second mission, in the school. Just that first spider part was ridiculous.
But most of all, I f*cking HATED Tamon's mission in Hirunotsuka where you have to run to the police car and get the bullets, and track down the shibito brain. You had to time everything just right.
LOVED!!!:
I loved all Akira's missions, it was just nice to get a decent weapon.
I loved Kyoya's day 2 20:00 (I think) mission. There were many ways you could go about that mission, and it was funny carrying around that unnecessary pistol. There aren't many unnecessary things in this game, because there's not a lot of "free roam", you have to do everything how the game wants you to.
I loved Shiro's hospital mission. IT was so creepy.
I loved Tomoko's Kuwawari mission. I guess it was nice for shock value when you first played the game, but afterwards, it just seems like such a waste of time xD |

As you said there are many ways around this mission, but I think the pistol isn't unnecessary however. A strategy from a Japanese player (which I shamelessly copied because it's so great) lets you use the pistol against the sniper in the beginning. You have to stand behind the wall right to the flight of stairs, but showing a little of your left to the sniper. The sniper will try to hit you desperately and after his fifth missed shot, you can run over to him while he's reloading the rifle. Put a few caps into him (the first bullet is usually enough) and he's stunned. It's the fastest way through the first half of the level. Really love those parts where you can stun powerful shibitos easily. |
