I was gathering reference materials for my pen work and I came across an article which reminded me of the plot of Siren.

Very disturbing. I had no idea that this happened in Japan. Almost exactly like the XX Village Massacre.

In Siren Hanyuda was cut from the world via transfer into a other dimension by the power of the Datatsushi.

In the Tsuyama Incident the village was cut from the world because Toi destroyed the power and telephone line.

In ending scene of Siren. SDK was shown roaming in the village carrying a old gun plus wielding the Homurangi while causing the "genocide" of the villager shibitos. Taking the referrence of the XX villagers murdered in the game.

In the Tsuyama Incident a survivor saw Toi roaming the village before his death carrying a gun and a katana engaging in his killing spree on the villagers.

In siren, SDK was supposed to be dead by a gunshot wound to his chest but was later revived.

Toi committed suicide in the end by shooting himself in the chest.
