Another Siren game in the works!

There was a competition in Hong Kong and singapore regions to create your own shibito along with an essay that was due in August this year and the winner is to be announced in mid-September.

I'm going to do more research on it but OMG!

That means another Siren game is coming!!!!! Cross your fingers folks. We may be hearing news about it sometime next year!

Oh yeah, I want the sightjack look from the 1st and 2nd Siren to return because I didn't like the one used in Blood Curse (still can't get used to it).

I have to agree with you there. The split screen made the framerate all funky and I couldn't navigate right. To be honest I really never used it that much.

Ya, the sightjack was frickin funky and disorienting. I dunno..it was like the characters were on shrooms or something.

It would be great if the main character in the new Siren is a female this time. Yeah, do want. "3/

Me too! So far nothing more has been mentioned about it but who knows! We'll wait and see.

They should make it a worldwide competition, I would really submit one...

I'm glad that they're releasing another siren game I wish it would contain a new story rather being a rendition of siren 2 like they did in Blood Curse.

I think it's better that new siren take place in Europe, America, some other countries in Asia, but to have some connections with Japan also.... that would bring in more fans to the series!!! Smile

To be honest I like what Blood Curse fixed about the old game. Clearer, linear gamplay and story telling but forgiving you with the archive items. Also the shibito were faster and tougher! I LOVED the new shibito. Game play was definitely LESS frustrating.

But Siren 1 is still my favorite.

I also pretty much thought the new battle system canceled out my fear. I was no longer afraid of the shibito where as in Siren I was freaked out of my mind because of there hardly being any weapons.

You had to solve your problems by exploring and thinking.

I'm still in the works of setting up my PS2 because I have the second game but just can't play it yet.

I want to play Siren 2 so badlyyyyyyyyyy.

Well, considering how much trouble they went to, stressing that New Translation/Blood Curse wasn't Siren 3, I think it was pretty obvious one was coming along eventually. tongue

I've been waiting to get in the zone to play my Japanese copy of Siren 2 + Archive Item translations + surrealgamer's video walkthrough for cinema translations... all of which promises to be a rather tedious process of playing the game, then running back to my PC for information, but it's really the only way I can play S2 and a far cry from mulling over my PS2 + boot disc being unable to handle the PAL game, for whatever reason.

There's always that option, Ichiko. Laughing

IF I bought the japanese version I'd STILL be in the problem I am now because of the region difference!

The reason I bought the PAL version is so I can read everything and even choose the english voice acting if I want. I love having options.

I tried the magic swamp discs with the magic keys but the 3rd key is a joke to insert. I'm planning on seeing if I can buy a UK PS2 from ebay and a PAL to NSTC TV converter or a cheap moded PS2.

Either way I AM going to play this game. I have beaten Siren and New translation so this is the last game I have to play.

And I've been dying to look through my Siren 2 maniacs book and Siren 2 artbook that I got on ebay. But I didn't yet because I didn't want to spoil myself.

i really like PS3 siren new translation tough..
it is really awesome and i already finish it..
