Okay. New Siren game in production. What're you all hoping for the game to be like? Easier or harder difficulty? More Shibito forms, or a new enemy? Totally different setting, characters, story, or gameplay?

Oooh! Nice topic!

My 2 cents:

I want a whole new storyline and cast. And I prefer an all japanese cast.

I would love new shibito/monsters that would relate to the new story.

I have to agree with shibito. BC and siren 2 is too easy but I have to say that I like the help hints that was added in those games. It'll keep the wider audience happy. (and plus i think they save a lot of frustration in the long run.

No more being able to pick up so many weapons. Its not scary that I can bean a shbito in the face with whatever is on the floor whenever i want. Having no weapons is scary and you have to stratigize how to escape. More thinking is involved then being able to punch everyone in the face.

I would love it if there was a multiplayer section. If the creators made a cool multiplayer mini game I'd get people on that shit.

About the story: This is just a suggestion but I would love to see siren in a city setting. Like a huge ghost city with shibito crawling all over it. But seriously anything they come up with is fine with me! Very Happy

XD Cool, but I don't think a city setting will work well in a game like Siren.. Think about it, if the shit that happens in the Siren games happen in the city, I'm sure the whole world is going to know about it eventually. Cue the US Army, Tanks, big budget action and Leon S. Kennedy to kick shibito ass.. probably.
Seriously though, how can you make Siren game work in a setting like that? I would love to know.. Sticking to a rural setting will be better, I guess, but maybe with a larger area this time. ..I don't know....

Anyhoo, most of the stuff I want have already been listed, but there's one thing I want that hasn't been listed.. A shibito on a bicycle...
Yeah, a shibito on a bicycle, ringing the bicycle little bell.. then BANG!! Kick the shibito off the bicycle, so then you can steal the key it dropped... to open some shed or something. Maybe not. XDD~~

I think an Online mode will be awesome.

- all people should have more or less the same amount of missions. If the link navigator returns, then spoiler: please don't put the 'hero' of the game in the first column - it kinda spoils it for me. Laughing
- special sightjack abilities should be in more missions, not just a handful.
- in Siren 2 there were too many hints. Find a middle gorund between the first and second game.
- hard mode comparable to the first game. Throw in an easy and normal mode for the toddlers who think that 10-20 hits by bullets are realistic and scary. Hard mode should be unlocked from the beginning.
- more areas and larger ones at that, because the car should act more than a piggyback device.
- I have no problems with non-Japenese people in Siren, but limit their number and give them a damn good reason for being in Japan.
- less projectile weapons. Siren 2 had machine guns for an entire army. Weapons should be more everyday items. regular people should not be able handling uzis and machine guns like assassins.
- mission editor, yep you heard right. It could work very well as in games like Tenchu and Shinobido, you also need to use stealth in confined areas.
This lengthens the replay value and the life of the game. For example, people made missions for Tenchu 2 like 5 years after it was released.
- online mode - Players should be able to play as shibitos, even mutated ones.
- scarier shibito mutations. Siren 2' mutations were comical at best
- game should be scary of course

One thing I want is for the Shibito to react to your torch/flashlight like they did in FS1. They way they reacted, or should I say didn't react, in SBC was so unrealistic and made it too easy. Mad

A big boost in graphics is really a big plus so it could contend with the "top" games in the horror genre ahem ahem Silent Hill and etc...

What I want:

* I want it to be available on an actual disc in the US this time. I really don't get why they made Siren: Blood Curse Americanized if they were only going to make it available online. I mean most people would rather just buy it on disc.

* Have multiple endings. Rather then one fixed ending let there be a variety of endings to obtain based on the player's choices.

* Make the plot multi-pathed and maybe have the option to effect who dies and survives in the end, that way there will be reasons to play the game again.

* Make females have bigger roles this time. In the Siren Games the females always have less missions then the males.

* If they have a child character, make them more realistic. A child probably wouldn't be able to use a gun, but they could still pick up a melee weapon that isn't incredibly heavy like a sledgehammer and swing it. Maybe give the child characters the weaker weapons like umbrellas and bats.

* Have more characters like Hisako/Amana who are immortal from eating Ningyo flesh, but are not religous maniacs.

* I think it'd be interesting to feature a dog as a playable character. Shu had a dog in Siren 2 but we never actually got to play as him. The gameplay could be limited while playing as a dog, for instance you couldn't pick up weapons or items, or open certain kinds of doors, but you'd have some advantages over human characters such as moving faster and crawling through tight spaces. Also you can bite shibito to defend yourself.

* Instead of having a beach-like environment, what if it took place in a snowy environment filled with red snow and ice?

* Make another shibito-playing mission like in Siren 2! =D

I love these ideas, Ningyo! Especially about have multiple endings (like Clock Tower, a game I also ♥), the changing plot idea (forgot what other games I've played that have this feature), and a playable animal.

I think dogs should be able to sightjack too.

I really like this idea. Would be funny to distract shibito with snow balls Very Happy

Co-sign, and the missions should also be relevant to the story, for example it would have been quite interesting if you could have played Mina and
taken control of Risa in the first game.

- More freedom in the woods (like in the park of Alone in the dark Inferno. Bad game, very good ideas. But it should't have cars. Maybe a Bike riding Shibito? Wink)

- An inventory. Now Siren is the only real Survival Horror game left, I think it should go a little bit back to the roots of the genre.

- a map on which you can draw and write things (like Silent Hill but doing it yourself) the futuristic map of S:BC just didn't fit the setting of the game.

- More scripted events, like the police officer Shibito jumping through the wall in the 1st scene of Blood Curse (that cop scared the Sh*t outta me BTW)

- More story, more history, more replay value (online, more endings, trophy's)

You guys I just had an idea for the new siren game ^-^

So you know that the new game is in development, and many new things are going to be seen IF it's not a "New Translation" of Siren 2. We've had Shibito, and Yamibito, which are dead people and darkness people respectably. How about a new form?

Noroibito (呪い人) - Cursed people. Makes more sense, huh? All the Siren games have had some sort of curse. Yeah, I'm staring at you Siren: Blood Curse : P

Noroibito will have a much different appearance then the Shibito, something that sets them apart but I can't think of anything yet. They were once humans, but due to some higher being (does anyone want another alien god like Data-san? I do!) they have more of a alien appearance, something otherwordly. Not just insectoid humans like we've seen before.

Well to me the heads of the Brain and Hane shibitos looked pretty alien/otherworldly to me. But I do agree that the appearance of the (evolved shibito imo) should look very unusual. But it has to be done right. I though the look of the evolved Yamibito in the second game was one of the most disappointing things in the second game in my opinion.
