One of the first things I noticed when playing Siren Blood Curse was how much Melissa and Amana looked alike, especially when Amana had her hair down. Most people didn't agree with me at first, but if you look closely Amana has the same hair color and build as Melissa, but looks slightly different in the face, possibly because Melissa wore make-up and Amana of course being a nun, didn't.

When you think about it, this all makes sense since Amana is really a grown up Bella, who is Melissa daughter. It makes sense for her to take on some of Melissa's characteristics since they have the same genes.

But am I the only one who noticed how much Melissa and Amana looked alike?

EDIT: You also have to remember that the characters are models based off of real people, like in previous games. So they would have had to modify Amana quite a bit to make her look like Melissa.

Wel actually now that I look at those pics, Amana has a mix of Bella and Melissa. She has Melissa's hair coloring and eyes and Bella's roundness in the face. I know Amana was based off another actress, but it would still be possible for the creators to give Amana traits to make her similar to Bella and Melissa.

Also as for Amana letting Melissa die, I don't think Amana truely remembered she was Bella. I mean one of the popular things about immortals who eat Ningyo flesh in Japanese mythology is that they tend to suffer amnesia due to being so old. I think Amana completely forgot about being Bella, I think she only remembered that she promised to ressurect Kaiko in return for her life being spared.

I mean Amana didn't even seem to regonize Howard, who helped her back when she was Bella.

Riiight... yeah, that's true!!

But how did she know she has to save Bella from being a Shibito?

Actually I don't think Amana ever really knew about Bella in the village or the purpose of the survivors, I mean Howard was suppose to live, and she tried to roast his ass.

In my opinion, like so many religous people, Amana had her "faith". She really didn't know who all was suppose to live, but she put her trust in Kaiko to take care of things. If the ritual failed because Howard, Sam, or Bella died (they all died in the first timeline), then she knew Kaiko would reverse everything until the ritual was right. I say this because I think if Amana really knew how everything was suppose to happen, she wouldn't have tried to kill Howard.

that makes a lot of sense, that was a very good observation and I've never really thought about this until now. They do look very much alike but then again, wouldn't Bella be like Hisako of the first game? why would she have turned into a shibito in the first place if she is the nun who resurrects the alien god? i thought the person who resurrects the alien couldn't turn into one.

Amana and Bella are the same person. ._.
